Our policy on affiliate links, sponsorships, and paid placement — and the one open item in it we are not hiding.

Our policy

Rankings and scores on GLP Ranked are computed from the published rubricand are not for sale: no provider can pay to raise its score, and no covered company's relationship with the publisher is permitted to change a score. If GLP Ranked ever runs affiliate links or paid placements, they will be labeled inline on the specific page they appear on, in addition to being listed here — not disclosed only in a footer link no one reads.

Until that is resolved, treat any claim of full editorial independence on pages covering that provider as qualified, not absolute. See the fullconflicts-of-interest register for detail.

How this differs from ordinary ad disclosure

Most publishers only need to disclose relationships they have. Our harder problem is different: we are disclosing that a relationship question exists and is unresolved, rather than either asserting independence we can't yet back up or hiding the open question. We would rather publish this than quietly assume the answer is "none."
